A wool and leather varsity jacket has a wool body paired with leather (or faux leather) sleeves, usually in a contrasting color. This classic letterman construction is a popular choice for schools, teams, and clubs.
Wool holds chenille patches and embroidery especially well, making it suitable for school lettering and team names.
Yes, when made with quality leather and proper stitching. Leather sleeves hold up well to regular wear and give the jacket a structured, premium finish that lasts.
Most leather styles offer genuine and faux leather options, including varsity jacket sleeves. Check the material selections on the individual product page. Genuine leather offers a premium, long-lasting finish; faux leather offers a more affordable, animal-friendly alternative with a similar look. Choose the option that suits your style and budget.

For campus wear, keep the outfit simple and let the jacket be the main piece.
